BANKCARD USA offers special pricing on the processing of both credit and debit card charges for medical practices. This includes processing charges of 0.23 percent on regular credit and debit Visa and MasterCard; 1.59 percent on Discover, Visa and MasterCard reward cards; and 2.19 percent for all cards that are key entered instead of swiped. The processing charge of 2.55 percent for American Express does not vary by card processing provider. Members receive at no charge a state-of-the-art, PCI compliant, credit card processing machines, free paper supplies, and more. No contract required. BANKCARD USA service fee is only $5.00 per month.
ONLINE MEDICAL EDUCATION TRAINING FOR CONNECTICUT MEDICAL LICENSE RENEWAL is available at special pricing to FCMA members. Connecticut General Statutes requires that in addition to the 50 contact hours of continuing medical education every two years, that physicians must have at least one contact hour of training every six years in the following areas: risk management including prescribing of controlled substances and pain management, sexual assault, domestic violence, infectious diseases (including AIDS and HIV), cultural competency, and behavioral health including a two-hour course in mental health conditions common to veterans and their family members. DISCOUNTED DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION AND RECORDS STORAGE SERVICES are available to FCMA members through Info-Shred, Inc. In addition, every year FCMA, in partnership with Info-Shred, hosts a professional paper shredding and electronics recycling event. Medical practices can have their confidential records and electronics shredded for a small donation per box/item. All proceeds will benefit the Fairfield County Medical Foundation.
